As a 2nd gen Ecuadorian, I know what it’s like to balance two worlds. I grew up with all the love, food, and traditions that come with family and the complicated stuff too. I’ve learned what it means to hold onto the parts of our culture that make us proud while also trying to break away from the habits that weigh us down. And let’s be real… the guilt trips? They’re famous for a reason. I know the feeling of carrying that pressure, of wanting to make everyone happy while also figuring out what’s best for yourself. Those experiences shaped me, and now they help me hold space for others who are trying to heal, grow, and find their own way.

I’ve worked with the BIPOC community in various settings, including mental health clinics, hospitals, and private practice. Clients have wondered if therapy is worth it and have told themselves many times “let’s wait and see” and nothing changes. They have a lot of guilt and shame about past experiences that the idea of sharing their trauma with a therapist is scary. That's where I come in!
My loyal sidekick is a miniature pinscher named Federico. He’s feisty, playful, and full of personality and every now and then, you might see him pop up in our virtual sessions. Federico loves to burrow under blankets, jump around, and make appearances when he hears a crinkle toy (or just feels like saying hello).
